TGF Royal Battle!

The Greeting Farm are holding their biggest challenge yet!

There is around 60 teams who will submit one card each week, using a set theme/colour scheme set by TGF. You have to vote for your top 3 cards, and the teams with the most votes will move on to the next weeks challenge!
(Tough stuff!)

I am on team Little Star Shooters!
Along with Kim (Team Captain)
and Laura.

We had to submit a retro card this week using a certain colour scheme, turquoise and burnt orange/brown.

Laura had a great idea that we all make a card each and then send them to each other and then decide who's card to send in. This makes it fairer, (and we all get to do a bit more crafting!)

This week, my card was submitted (eek!) ...

When I thought 'retro', I thought of the 50s - diners and ice cream parlours, so that's what I went for! I have made an easel card so I could get lots of detail into the card, to prop the card up I made a Sundaes sign.

I have used the orangey/brown paper to make the counter, and sat an ice cream on top of it. The ice cream was made using a Sizzix die, and to top it off I added the cherry brad.

I have used TGFs Wildsprout Megan, and gave her a pleated skirt out of turquoise polka dot paper, and also gave her a red bow from ribbon.

If you would like to vote for us and have a nosey and the other great entries, just head over to TGF. Click HERE if you like our card and want to vote for it! Thankyou!

Hey Cupcake!

I made this card for a friends birthday, and then came across a challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge. The theme for this week is food & drink.

I have used a Miss Anya Love stamp from TGF, and sat her on top of a cupcake which is part of the Pink Frosting - Breast Cancer Awareness digi set from Nutcrafters. The 'Hey Cupcake' sentiment and little cakes are from the Cutie Pie Collection, aslo from Nutcrafters.

Thanks for looking!

Easter!

I am entering this card into the challenge over at Bee Crafty. You must make a spring inspired card, and I thought what's better than Easter?
I have used a digi image from Nutcrafters. This is Nutshell Easter Bo, she is so cute in her bunny costume!
The papers I have used are from my stash, and I used the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug to emboss the easter egg, and then highlighted some with Stickles.
I recently bought some spring Gromlets and I'm obsessed with them, so I had to put the egg shaped one on here!

SPRING FEVER

The challenge this week over at Anyone for Anya is Spring Fever, to create a card with spring colours or blooms, and also there is a challenge at Allsorts challenge Blog to use the same theme.. (Spring!). So I would like to enter this card into both.
I have chosen to use The Greeting Farms Twinkle Tots Izzy for my image, I thought she was perfect for this challenge as she looks ready for spring in her Easter Bonnet!

I chose nice fresh citrus colours for my card and matched papers from my stash to some new Prima flowers I bought and a Fancy Pin.
This is the first easel card I have done and I loved making it! I have used a Spring Gromlet for the prop on the base, and think I will be making lots more cards in this style.

Thanks for looking, Rachael.
